India did not react to Pakistan
According to Twitter’s guidelines, the account has to be blocked on valid legal demands such as a court order or government demand. In such a situation, the post made on the official Twitter account of the Government of Pakistan will not be visible in India. However, there has been no response from the IT Ministry of the Government of India or Pakistan regarding this action.
Last year in June, the official accounts of Pakistan Embassies in the United Nations, Turkey, Iran and Egypt were banned by Twitter in India. Similarly, in August, India prohibited eight news channels on YouTube, including one based in Pakistan, and blocked a Facebook account for disseminating “fake, anti-India content” online.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated that emergency powers under the Information Technology Rules, 2021 were exercised to take these actions. The blocked Indian YouTube channels were found to be using fake and sensational thumbnails, images of news anchors, and logos of certain TV news channels to deceive viewers into believing that the news was genuine.
