So far no distinct symptoms related to this new circulating Covid variant XBB 1.16 have been detected. Only the old symptoms of corona are visible. Symptoms such as headache, muscle pain, fatigue, sore throat, runny nose, and cough can occur with this variant. Apart from this, some people may also complain of abdominal pain and discomfort, and diarrhea.
Experts say that XBB 1.16 is like a new kid. The virus keeps changing. Many variants have been seen in the last year. All these variants are sub-variants of Omicron. This variant is not changing as fast as before.

In a conversation with Tv9, Professor Dr. Yudhveer Singh in the Critical Care Department at AIIMS told that mutations keep happening in the virus of Kovid. Due to this, a new variant comes every few months. The XBB.1.16 variant has also come like this. Cases are increasing due to this, although this variant will not cause any new dangerous wave. So far, only mild symptoms are being found in the infected, although the elderly and patients suffering from other diseases should be careful. Such people may be at risk from any new variant.
