The total debt of the telecom industry is likely to be around Rs 6.3 lakh crore in FY 2022-23, according to rating agency ICRA. Director General of Cellular Operators Association of India S.P. Reliance Jio and Airtel made big investments
Reliance Jio has started 5G service in more than 400 and Airtel in more than 500 cities in the country. Jio has bought spectrum worth Rs 88,078 crore for 5G service. At the same time, Airtel has spent about Rs 43,084 crore on the spectrum. In this episode, Vodafone-Idea has also bought a 5G spectrum worth Rs 18,799 crore. However, has not yet shared the details of its 5G plan.
